Signing out of the 2023 season in style

2023 was a turbulent yet successful year for the club. It was only right to celebrate as a club and reward those for who's efforts did not go unnoticed during the season.

Clubman of the year - Fergus Stewart
Only the people involved in the club after the first two games know the extent of the turbulence that we went through. but Fergus really stepped up and went above and beyond with helping out both on and off the pitch, even having a 100% win record as a coach!

Most improved player - Dan Hood
Dan has taken his game to a whole different level since last season, he’s become a much more direct and aggressive player and it has not only improved his performance but improved the overall team performance, as well as his reputation with the referees…

Coaches player of the year - Chev Taylor
I’ve seen Chev grow as not just a player, but as a person over the past couple of seasons. He takes pride in doing the hard work on the pitch, and has improved his defensive game significantly, but his confidence has increased which has seen him become more of a role model in the team, offering advice to newer players in the squad.

Congratulation to these players, but to everyone who has been involved with the club this season thank you for your patience and commitment to the Bulldogs.

We look forward to the 2024 season!

Players' player(s) of the year - Curtis Wellington & Fergus Stewart
The players have voted for who they feel has had the biggest impact on the pitch this season which turned out to be a draw! Two worthy winners with the players lads would least like to run straight at and the player lads would least like to try and tackle!

Simkin Award - Josh Tomlinson
Josh has been Incredible for us this season, both in terms of organising plays as well as putting his body on the line in defence. Josh has been instrumental as Captain, showing true Leadership in helping steer the team to its third successive final.
